Bio:

Sajah Popham, founder of Organic Unity and The School of Evolutionary Herbalism, is a student of the universal truths found within both ancient and modern herbal traditions from around the world. The focus of his work is on integrating ancient teachings for a new paradigm of plant medicine, one that is truly holistic in its honoring of the spirit, energetics, and body of both people and plants. His unique synthesis bridges herbalism not only east and west, but north and south, above and below, into a universal philosophy that encompasses indigenous wisdom, Ayurveda, western Alchemy and Spagyrics, Astrology, clinical herbalism, and modern pharmacology. Sajah’s vitalist approach utilizes plants not only for physiological healing and rejuvenation, but for the evolution of consciousness, for a truly holistic practice of plant medicine. Sajah’s teachings embody a heartfelt respect, honour and reverence for the vast intelligence of plants in a way that empowers us to look deeper into the nature of our medicines and ourselves. He lives in southern Oregon with his wife where he teaches at his school, makes spagyric medicines, and practices his art.

Medicinal Cannabis Culture with Justin Sinclair

Join me in a deep exploration of one of human kinds more wonderful companion plants; cannabis. As a herbal medicine this plant, its many strains and it’s phytochemistry are an obvious inclusion for medicine going forward in creating a holistic and integrated approach to healing the body. Shrouded with controversy and authoritarian suppression, cannabis has been dragged through an intense slander campaign for the past 100 years and has been denied to millions as a medicine we may incorporate into our lives and systems; but that is changing. Justin Sinclair is a patient advocate, herbalist and researcher who is on the front line here in Australia and internationally in bringing forth both the shift in cultural narrative around cannabis as well as the data and lore that blatantly tells us how deeply this plant can contribute to our wellness. We have the sovereign right to access medicine, especially when it offers no threat or harm. In this interview Justin and I explore this subject in depth.

The Spirit Of Booze: Old World To New World with Charles Casben

One of the more epic episodes for you today gang. Recorded in an old world gin bar in Redfern, Sydney, Charlie Casben, a wonderful bartender and sommelier who owns Moya’s Juniper Lounge and drinks good booze well…

I worked for years with Charlie back in the day when I was tender bar and I knew that in that time I only scratched the surface of his knowledge around the wonderful world of herbalism, botanicals and alcohol. As I got more into the health game I became more and more bored with the flatland commentary that health “leaders" had about alcohol simply being bad and wanted to go deeper into the nature of this substance and continue to do the work to bring an integration between the world of health and booze; I got considerable closer in this interview. If you’re ready to take your health to another level then grab some good booze and strap in for a ride into the old world as we explore the journey herbs and botanicals have taken till we see the current culture emerge around bars and booze, and where we’re going to be able to take it so that a true progression is possible in the way we move forward as an integrated culture.

  • The medicinal properties & historical use of gin, tonic and lime

Taught the basics of cocktail bar tending at fifteen with his sister by a father who's aim was to teach the value of understanding and appreciating good liquor. Cocktails remained a hobby until at eighteen while studying a physics degree he embarked on what was to become a fifteen year career in hospitality. Serving over the bar at several venues in Sydney and abroad wine became the next challenge and certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers the next goal. While studying wine the decision was made to pursue the goal of opening a small bar in Sydney and after several years searching for a suitable site, Moya's Juniper Lounge opened its doors in March 2016.

The Sauna Life with Sebastian Mierau

Staying healthy in a toxic world can be one of the most difficult aspects of this health journey, and that’s why we need some heavy hitting practices on our side to get in deep and keep our organs and tissue healthy. I’ve been doing infrared saunas since I was 16 years old, not knowing at that point just how fortunate I was to have integrated into my life one of the most ancient, time-tested and effective methods of detoxification and rejuvenation into my life.

But this isn’t your every day chat about saunas… Sebastian Mierau is one of my best mates. We met in 2011 at David Wolfe talk when we were both a couple of health nerds diving deep into the lifestyle and researching deeply. Since then, after many adventures around the world, Sebastian has become the distributor of (what we knew all along to be the best saunas in the world) Clearlight Saunas in Australia and Europe. He took this on so that all us multidimensional health freaks could get easy access to this incredibly healing tool.

As a leader and innovator in the infrared sauna industry for the last 18 years, Clearlight Infrared by Sauna Works has been manufacturing infrared saunas that are both luxurious and effective. While their cabins are exceptional quality, they have spent the last 18 years researching and studying infrared therapy to bring you the most effective infrared sauna available; and they’re doing saunas like nobody else, including (much to my cell’s pleasure) being the leader in offering EMF and ELF free saunas.

Sebastian has become extremely well versed in the benefits and dynamics of infrared saunas benefits and therapy and this interview we dive into:

  • The history of saunas and their evolution
  • The difference between traditional and infrared saunas
  • How the infrared sauna wavelengths help eliminate stress and deeply relax the tissue
  • The mind blowing ability this technology has to detox the body of insidious, disease-causing toxicity
  • Surprising ways sauna restores your body’s ability to lose weight
  • Why saunas give you the best skin ever
  • The research behind sauna increasing life-span, toning the heart and thwarting morbidity
  • Ways to say goodbye to chronic pain
  • How you can restore and boost metabolism and overall immunity by getting your sweat on
  • Ceramic v carbon heaters and why you must consider which your sauna uses
  • The specific healing wavelengths utilised in these epic saunas
  • The resonance frequency of infrared and how it interacts with the water in your calls
  • How low EMG (mG) and ELF (Vm) saunas are now possible and how saunas that don’t can damage you
