Birth is a rite of passage for the whole family.

How we're born shapes the families and culture we grow. This is the part of my work that sits closest to home.

Hygieia Health

I'm part of Hygieia Health, an Australian not-for-profit working to prevent and heal birth trauma and to return birth to its rightful place as a sacred rite of passage, with mother and baby at the centre. Our belief is simple: peace on Earth begins at birth.

The work spans birth houses, including the one we're creating here in the Northern Rivers; education for mothers, partners and practitioners; support for families affected by birth trauma; and advocacy for better access to birth centres and home birth.

For dads: Birth Magic for Dads

The partner isn't a support person. He's a primary steward of the field, and his nervous system either steadies the space or fragments it.

My free guide covers the bubble that forms around physiological birth, the father's role as protector and participant, the four zones of the engaged partner, how to stand calmly when the system forgets what's sacred, and the inner work to do before the day.

If you helped create the bubble, you're qualified to protect it.

My wife Tahnee teaches birth as an embodied threshold through Birth Magic, drawing on Taoism, yoga and shamanic womancraft. I've taught on the course alongside her. Start with her free masterclass.
