The Mushie Man
Tonic herbs and medicinal mushrooms are how I came into this work, and they're still the ground I stand on.
What tonic herbalism is
Tonic herbalism comes from the Taoist tradition, and unlike most herbal medicine it isn't about chasing symptoms. Tonic herbs are the ones you take every day, for years, to build your foundations: the deep reserves Taoists call Jing, the daily energy of Qi, and the spirit, or Shen, that lets you live with clarity and joy. Medicinal mushrooms like reishi, chaga, cordyceps and lion's mane sit right at the centre of that tradition, some of the most researched and most revered of all the tonics.
Why it matters to me
I want to contribute to there being as little disease in the world as possible, and to more of us cultivating our way into eldership rather than declining into old age. I want a generation of legends: people with the vitality, wisdom and humour to hold their families and communities for decades. Tonic herbs and mushrooms are one of the few proven ways I know to support that at scale, because they're simple, they're safe to take daily, and they work best when they become a lifelong practice.
SuperFeast
SuperFeast is where I seed this into the world. We source each herb from where it grows best and teach as much as we sell, so that people can understand what they're taking and why.
