Social Media and Original Sin Part 2 with Tristan Bray
PART 2
The world of social media is here, it’s pervasive and it is not going away; but how do we integrate with it in a healthy and sustainable manner? It’s this questions that lead me to sitting down with Tristan Bray to explore some of the physiological effects that Instagram & Facebook have when in excess and some very interesting distinctions that can help us to stay centred in navigating this vast, polarising, deep, shallow, complex, silly and meaningful virtual world. Get ready to get some wake up calls around the nature of this virtual world and learn the dynamic ways that it is being used by people and organisations around the world. Social media often sits on a knifes edge between being medicine for the world or poison (like many herbs based on their dose), let’s explore where that dynamic line exists.
Part 2 of this social media epic and we’re going deeper. Tristan and I couldn’t contain the amount of info we wanted to share with you in one interview and this episode contains all the juice that flowed forth as we started to jam. Get ready to change the relationship you have with social media.
In this instalment, we pick it up and run with the following topics:
- Creative exercise as part of upgrading attention span and cognitiion
- Social media excess and the distortion created by it
- Psychiatry and pharmaceutical withdrawal
- Navigating past trollers in the cyber world
- Letting go of social media's unwritten laws and rigor
- What we see VS what is reality through the social media lens
- Vulnerability in the social media world
Tristan has been a Regression Therapist for ten years. He brings his in depth background in Psychotherapy, Meditation, Quantum Healing, Cell Biology, Epigenetics, Kinesiology, Psychopharmacology, Sexual Health, Diet, Detox, Philosophy, Metaphysics, Taoism, Shamanism, Entheogens, Chi Gung, Kung Fu and Modern Medical Science to his clients, talks and workshops. He currently shares his skills as a therapist, life coach and counsellor.
Throughout his twenties Tristan has studied internationally in the healing arts. He is passionate in reminding people, that the human capacity for healing is limitless. Tristan helps to open his client’s minds to how many natural super abilities that we all possess to enhance our life that have been squashed out of the mainstream belief system by reductionist scientific dogma and disempowerment religions.
Tristan’s healing treatments, seminars and workshops are primarily focused around clearing trauma and sharing why this is so important to all of us. Trauma is the biggest cause of ill health in our world because it often will permanently change the body’s physiology, emotions and spiritual outlook if not released. Much of modern medicine looks at putting a ‘band aid effect’ over the current effect of trauma as opposed to clearing it, back at the creation point.

Medicinal Cannabis Culture with Justin Sinclair
Join me in a deep exploration of one of human kinds more wonderful companion plants; cannabis. As a herbal medicine this plant, its many strains and it’s phytochemistry are an obvious inclusion for medicine going forward in creating a holistic and integrated approach to healing the body. Shrouded with controversy and authoritarian suppression, cannabis has been dragged through an intense slander campaign for the past 100 years and has been denied to millions as a medicine we may incorporate into our lives and systems; but that is changing. Justin Sinclair is a patient advocate, herbalist and researcher who is on the front line here in Australia and internationally in bringing forth both the shift in cultural narrative around cannabis as well as the data and lore that blatantly tells us how deeply this plant can contribute to our wellness. We have the sovereign right to access medicine, especially when it offers no threat or harm. In this interview Justin and I explore this subject in depth.

The Spirit Of Booze: Old World To New World with Charles Casben
One of the more epic episodes for you today gang. Recorded in an old world gin bar in Redfern, Sydney, Charlie Casben, a wonderful bartender and sommelier who owns Moya’s Juniper Lounge and drinks good booze well…
I worked for years with Charlie back in the day when I was tender bar and I knew that in that time I only scratched the surface of his knowledge around the wonderful world of herbalism, botanicals and alcohol. As I got more into the health game I became more and more bored with the flatland commentary that health “leaders" had about alcohol simply being bad and wanted to go deeper into the nature of this substance and continue to do the work to bring an integration between the world of health and booze; I got considerable closer in this interview. If you’re ready to take your health to another level then grab some good booze and strap in for a ride into the old world as we explore the journey herbs and botanicals have taken till we see the current culture emerge around bars and booze, and where we’re going to be able to take it so that a true progression is possible in the way we move forward as an integrated culture.

Cocktails remained a hobby until at eighteen while studying a physics degree he embarked on what was to become a fifteen year career in hospitality. Serving over the bar at several venues in Sydney and abroad wine became the next challenge and certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers the next goal. While studying wine the decision was made to pursue the goal of opening a small bar in Sydney and after several years searching for a suitable site, Moya's Juniper Lounge opened its doors in March 2016.
